Born in Varese on November 16th, 1964, Domenico Perrucci starts his activity as a designer for Bassani Ticino S.p.A.
After taking a technical degree, in the decades 1980-90 he develops skills ranging from the design and realization of plastic and shears moulds to the design of final products.
While working for Bassani Ticino, he also has the opportunity to cooperate with the architect Zecca.
At the beginning of the 90s he works as a senior designer in Switzerland at Ligo Electric, in the field of small household appliances, thus widening his knowledge about solid moulding.
In 1994 he designs products with high tech contents in the field of ventilation and aspiration and becomes responsible for the whole project, also dealing with quality ISO 9001. In 1997 he starts working as a senior designer for Luceplan S.p.A., cooperating with designers such as Ross Lovegrove, Ferdi Giardini, Paolo Rizzatto and Alberto Meda.
In 1999 he is selected at the competition Young and Design with his prototype lamp Chichibio, designed with Amedeo Guidobono Cavalchini and now produced by Luceplan.
