Dante Donegani

Born at Pinzolo (Trento) in 1957, he graduated in Architetcture in Florence in 1983. Since 1993 he is Director of the Industrial Design Master of Domus Academy. He worked with Andrea Branzi and later on as a consultant for Olivetti Corporate Identity, being responsible for fairs and interior design. In 1991 he opened his own office. He realized several exhibitions, design and commercial settings such as: "Michelangelo Architetto", "Artemisia Gentileschi", at Casa Buonarroti in Florence; "Mondrian e De Stijl" at Fondazioni Cini in Venice, "Piero della Francesca" at San Sepolcro, and display systems for Nolan Helmets, for Fissler kitchen ware, Sant Pauls International bookstore... He designed furniture and objects for many manufacturers, including Memphis, Stildomus, Produzione Cavari, Mass, Steel, Radice, Isuzu, Edra and Luceplan. He designed interiors of several private houses and shops and is actually encharged of the project for a urban design and a commercial center in a small town in Italy. He partecipated to architecture competitions such as restructuring of historical center of Castel di Sangro (Aquila) with Andrea Branzi (1st prize); "Berlin Wall", with Andrea Branzi (1st prize); "A square with a monument", Keihanna Interaction Plaza, Japan (2nd prize). Some of his works have been displayed at the shows "Italian Fair", Seibu Art Forum, Tokyo (1986), "Twelve News", Memphis, Milano (1987); Biennale di Barcelona (1898); "Les Capitales Europe'ennes du design" at Centre George Pompidou (1991),"Museo del Design" Triennale di Milano (1997), "Life" Museum of Design London (1999). His works have been selected for publications in New Italian Design, Rizzoli New York 1990; Formes de Metropoles.
