For Light Week Köln 2015, from 17 to 19 November at Design Post in
Cologne, the former postal building converted as an exhibition space
for design, Luceplan will be a protagonist, with a talk by the designer
Monica Armani entitled “Silenzio – Light meets Acoustics.”
A vivid presence at all the most important international events in the lighting sector, Luceplan takes this new opportunity to confi rm its continuing commitment to the world of design, research and experimentation, its capacity to produce lighting solutions with the highest standards of design and technology, for versatile use and customization to adapt to all functional needs, and its approach of working in synergy with professionals and lighting designers to create aesthetic-luminous scenarios suitable for both the domestic market and contract applications.
Evidence of the growing focus of Luceplan on matters of acoustic comfort, Silenzio by Monica Armani is a lighting system that combines furnishing solutions with high sound-absorbing performance for public and private spaces, with the beauty of Kvadrat fabrics and exceptional quality of light: “tailor-made” lighting that decorates and personalizes spaces, the perfect expression of the interaction of technology and design.
During Light Week Köln, Design Post will host a series of events focusing exclusively on the theme of light. Three days of talks, round tables, exhibitions and presentations of special products to offer sector professionals – architects and designers – an overview of the latest trends in lamps and lighting design. Acoustic comfort will be one of the hottest topics, a theme of great timeliness approached with success by Luceplan, thanks to the application of sound-absorbing materials in lighting fi xtures capable of guaranteeing optimal light distribution and high levels of acoustic enhancement of spaces. The talk by Monica Armani will concentrate precisely on this topic: her Silenzio lamp for Luceplan, in fact, combines the need to achieve the highest levels of functional quality and performance with the pursuit of captivating aesthetics and design, without overlooking issues of respect for the environment and energy savings. An important opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas and experiences regarding a psychophysical factor now considered fundamental for the wellbeing of man in the work environment and in the home.
