The Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI) has selected Luceplan for publication in the ADI Index 2016 with the Mesh lamp by Francisco Gomez Paz. The ADI Design Index brings together the best Italian design put into production each year and selected by the Permanent Design Observatory; the products selected become candidates for the next Compasso d'Oro ADI awards, and will be shown in two exhibitions in Milan and Rome.
For the 2016 edition the products nominated by over 100 experts across the nation were 907 in number, from which just 279 were chosen for the new ADI Design Index. Already the winner of 7 Compasso d’Oro awards, after the latest one received in June, Luceplan was a natural choice: this time, the representation of the company’s innovative strengths is the Mesh lamp, the result of experimentation with the potential of LEDs, capable of creating personalized luminous scenarios that adapt to all kinds of needs and users. For the spatial arrangement of the luminous points of Mesh, the designer Francisco Gomez Paz has applied parameters similar to those identified by Fibonacci in nature, like the pattern of seeds in a sunflower, adding greater versatility thanks to the possibility of controlling the position and quantity of the light.
Once again Luceplan reaps the rewards of ongoing commitment to innovation and research; this nomination offers further proof of the company’s excellence in the lighting industry.
