{"id":13494,"date":"2026-05-23T07:22:43","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T07:22:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.luceplan.com\/alberto-meda-wins-the-compasso-doro-adi-for-the-career\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T07:22:43","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T07:22:43","slug":"alberto-meda-wins-the-compasso-doro-adi-for-the-career","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.luceplan.com\/us\/alberto-meda-wins-the-compasso-doro-adi-for-the-career\/","title":{"rendered":"Alberto Meda wins the Compasso d\u2019Oro ADI for the career"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alberto Meda has been awarded the ADI Compasso d\u2019Oro for Lifetime Achievement, and on this occasion Luceplan pays tribute to the renowned designer for his contribution to the company and the enduring synergy with all its designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three Compasso d\u2019Oro awards had previously been granted to products bearing his signature: <em>Lola<\/em> (1987, with Rizzatto), <em>Metropoli<\/em> (1992, with Rizzatto\/Sarfatti), and <em>Mix<\/em> (2005, with Rizzatto, today no more in production), further proof of the innovative scope of his projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHis career has always been marked by a virtuous balance between engineering precision and the semantic depth of design. He succeeded in combining material performance, technological rigor and industrial efficiency with an expressive approach,\u201d the company said. \u201cHis products are defined by structural lightness, achieved through reduced, minimalist forms; by production efficiency, attained through meticulous attention to construction processes; and by an essential aesthetic translated into ethereal signs that challenge the limits of consistency. These are the motivations behind the ADI Compasso d\u2019Oro Career Award.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patrizia Vicenzi, CEO of Luceplan, commented: \u201cWith great pleasure we welcome the recognition awarded by the ADI to Alberto Meda. The honour crowns a career of excellence in all areas in which he has worked.
