Alibel, a track system that makes the difference

Tiny creatures land on the water, drawing concentric waves. They populate the horizon or freely swirl in space.

Biophilia is as a trace for the interpretation of a track system, evoking a story that draws inspiration from nature, our bond with it and its magnificent forms of expression.

Surfaces that diffuse light, creating unusual scenarios with mystical transparencies. Shiny and fluid points of light emphasize freedom and movement. A dialogue between technology and tale, designed to reinterpret the light in a dynamic guise in domestic spaces. From these suggestions comes the new Alibel track system.

A new line of research on the creation of track lighting

For Luceplan, the Alibel lamp system designed by Alessandro Zambelli marks the beginning of a new line of research on the creation of track lighting, a typology usually associated with more technical contexts, reinterpreted in a decorative way in this collection.

The project takes its cue from the natural world and suggests the image of a small insect resting on a pool of water, creating concentric circles.

Elegant and light, the Alibel lighting system provides two luminous modules to install on tracks, capable of generating diffused but also accent lighting; the lamps can be supplied (as an option) with a light, slender diffusor in an elliptical form. A wall version is also available, completing the range.

The system relies on a track of very small proportions that can be attached to the ceiling, built into the surface or suspended. The body of the lamp, in die-cast aluminium, can be easily fastened to the track with a simple gesture, and is equipped with a spherical joint to permit adjustment of the beam. It can also be outfitted with a slender stem (Ø 6 mm) to separate it from the track, bringing it closer to the worksurface below.

The lamp comes in two geometric formats: symmetrical, with upward light emission, where the source is distributed in the upper part of the body; and asymmetrical, for downward emission, where the source is placed in the lower part of the body and the optical grouping can provide diffused lighting, or be fitted with lenses for accent lighting.

Combine technical research and innovation with a vividly decorative image

Like elegant, slender lines, the tracks form geometric figures on the ceiling, ready to personalize the space and to adapt to different installation needs, while the luminous volumes correspond to the specifications of the technical lighting design.

For the symmetrical lamp with upward lighting it is possible to add an oval diffuser, to spread soft atmospheric brightness in the space.

The lamp is also available with the diffuser placed in a vertical position. The resulting light offers strong evocative impact. Alibel combines technical research and innovation with a vividly decorative image, giving rise to a lighting system capable of creating unusual and striking scenarios. Thanks to its hybrid aesthetic nature, it is ideal for both residential solutions and contract applications.
