Illan, the poetry of light.
“The idea of the lamp comes from experimentation with models of laser cutting applied to different materials.
Translucency, flexibility and a delicate undulated movement are the distinctive characteristics of the Illan lamp. The simple concentric cutting motif shapes wood into a three-dimensional sculptural object that reacts to the slightest movement of the air, while the warm glow of the light creates a relaxing sensation, reflecting on the wooden surface in harmonious resonance…”

of strong emotional and theatrical impact.
Technological innovation and research on materials are the fundamental factors in the company’s method, and in fact Illan aptly conveys the essence of all-around experimentation, interpreted in terms of technology and expressive impact.
The remarkable decorative value of Illan and its emotional range expressed through the intelligent and original use of materials, make it a truly special lamp.
Illan is a project with a focus on sustainability. Its structure is made in certified wood FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council® ) from forests managed in a correct, responsible way. All the phases of development and implementation are based on a rigorous ecological approach.
The number of components has been reduced to a minimum, and the production processes have low environmental impact.
The lamp is composed of a very light body made with extremely thin, flexible plywood, cut by laser along densely packed equidistant lines. This is a precious and varying material whose unique natural character can be seen in the typical grain pattern.
These characteristics are the distinctive features of the project. Once suspended from the ceiling, Illan takes on volume thanks to the force of gravity and assumes its characteristic form that floats in the air.
Illan is available in multiple sizes up to one meter in diameter.
Skillful use of the LED source creates very comfortable, relaxing diffused lighting.

In Hungarian, the term illan indicates something temporary and fleeting, whose beauty, according to Zsuzsanna Horvath, has to be immediately grasped, without letting ourselves get distracted by the frenetic pace of everyday life – like a fragrance that fades in time, or a sensation to capture before it slips away.
“The lamp is on the borderline between art and design, balancing functional quality, good looks and a bit of the magic we need in our everyday life.”
